This coat has such a flattering fit with its princess seaming, drawn inward at the waist. I have narrower shoulders, but it balances out my shoulders and hips well. The fur hood is gorgeous! I am 5' 10" and typically wear a size 12 pant, size L shirt, wear a 36c bra , and the fit of the size L is wonderful-not too tight, but form-fitting and flattering. Could easily wear a thick sweater underneath, not too tight in the hips when I sit, comes about mid-thigh on me. The arms are long enough, too-another bonus. The two-way zipper zips up and down effortlessly. The down is sewn in by the liner, so I doubt feathers will leak out.

Within 5 min inside, with this coat on over my nightgown, I was sweating!

The material has a slight iridescent sheen, which is also very pretty. It is a rich brown that won't show the dirt. I signed up for e-mail clothing alerts from Amazon and got a 20% off code, so this coat was $134.99 shipped. I think it is a great value for that price, and I am very happy with it!
