go to NYC because I know I'll be warm no matter how cold it is there. If youre
buying one, it runs small so I'd get a size larger than normal.

When this coat arrived, one of my daughters asked, "Is that a sleeping bag?" No doubt about it; this is a serious winter coat--big, heavy, and warm. It does almost feel like a sleeping bag, but it's much more stylish. The coat is not completely shapeless--it does taper in around the waist, but there are no drawstrings to make it smaller. It widens at the bottom and is easy to walk in. I'm 5' 8" tall and about 200 lbs (usually wear a woman's size 16--18), so ordered the extra large size. I have plenty of room to wear a heavy sweater underneath it, should I so desire, and the coat falls to about mid-calf on me (a little longer than shown on the model). The weather here in Wisconsin has been below zero and windy the last few days, and this coat has kept me toasty warm through bus commutes, walks, and snow shoveling. It's HEAVY, but it does what a winter coat is supposed to do: keep me warm and protected from the elements. The reversibility makes it ideal for both practical and formal/dressy uses. According to a label found in the pocket, the coat is also machine washable (100% polyester)--I haven't tested it, but that's another bonus. A great deal on a real winter coat that's both attractive and useful.

This coat is beautiful, both ways. Very elegant on the fur side, and super soft and warm! The other side is great too. Looks great, but is still durable and easy to keep clean. I love that it comes to just above my ankles. It was important to me to buy a long coat. I also love that the hood is so big. I looked at the size guidelines, and decided to go for one size larger than what I needed, just for comfort's sake. I'm glad I did, because I can see how other reviewers say that it runs small. Definitley buy a size up from what you think you need. The price was a steal, in my opinion. I would definitley recommend this coat to anyone.

I absolutely love this dress. Initially I was worried that it was too plain but was drawn to it because of the neck line. I have a pear shape (although I am not completely flat chested) and when looking at the picture of the model I was unsure of how it would fit on my body type. It looks a little shapeless on the model. But because it is described as stretch satin I was hoping that it would fit nicely on a shapely woman. (If you have a pouch this may not be the best dress for you.)
I got the dress in orchid and I think a pair of black peep toe shoes would go well with it. I plan on wearing this to an evening wedding. Also, I normally wear about a 6 in dresses but ordered an 8 (since it was the last size available) hoping I could have it taken in if necessary. The size 8 fit well, no need for any alterations. There is a little extra room in the top area but nothing really noticeable. Also, the price on nordstroms.com is $50 more than what I paid for it on amazon. This was an all around good buy!
Lastly, the dress is made of heavy quality material yet it is comfortable and allows for free movement.

I could not wait to get this dress, with no prior knowledge of Jax, and I am not disappointed! I could not have made this dress any better or any cheaper, and I can sew! Very well made. I am going to order another dress in another style and color because this one made me so happy!

The picture of the model in this dress does not do the dress justice. i was so grateful to see the person who posted pics with the dress on to really get a feel for what the dress would look like on a more curvy person. I wore this dress to a family event and I must say it turned not some but all heads. i wish i could have purchased more in the other colors well worth the price.
