I absolutely love this dress. Initially I was worried that it was too plain but was drawn to it because of the neck line. I have a pear shape (although I am not completely flat chested) and when looking at the picture of the model I was unsure of how it would fit on my body type. It looks a little shapeless on the model. But because it is described as stretch satin I was hoping that it would fit nicely on a shapely woman. (If you have a pouch this may not be the best dress for you.)
I got the dress in orchid and I think a pair of black peep toe shoes would go well with it. I plan on wearing this to an evening wedding. Also, I normally wear about a 6 in dresses but ordered an 8 (since it was the last size available) hoping I could have it taken in if necessary. The size 8 fit well, no need for any alterations. There is a little extra room in the top area but nothing really noticeable. Also, the price on nordstroms.com is $50 more than what I paid for it on amazon. This was an all around good buy!
Lastly, the dress is made of heavy quality material yet it is comfortable and allows for free movement.
I could not wait to get this dress, with no prior knowledge of Jax, and I am not disappointed! I could not have made this dress any better or any cheaper, and I can sew! Very well made. I am going to order another dress in another style and color because this one made me so happy!
The picture of the model in this dress does not do the dress justice. i was so grateful to see the person who posted pics with the dress on to really get a feel for what the dress would look like on a more curvy person. I wore this dress to a family event and I must say it turned not some but all heads. i wish i could have purchased more in the other colors well worth the price.
